Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets the conduct, security, communication, and content standards expected of every JamiiCore Cloud user.

6.1 General Standards

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all Users of the JamiiCore Cloud Platform. Compliance with this AUP is a condition of use. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of access and may expose the User to civil or criminal liability.

All Users must use the Platform in a lawful, ethical, and responsible manner. You are responsible for all Content uploaded, transmitted, or published through your account.

6.2 Communication Standards

When using the Platform's messaging, SMS, or email features:

  • Ensure all communications are relevant, truthful, and not misleading.
  • Do not send harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or abusive messages to Members.
  • Do not use the communication features to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam).
  • Comply with the Kenya Information and Communications Act and any Communications Authority of Kenya guidelines applicable to electronic communications.

6.3 Data Handling Standards

You must handle data responsibly at all times:

  • Upload only accurate and current Member information.
  • Do not upload personal data that you are not authorized to process.
  • Handle Member data with the same care you would apply to your own personal data.
  • Do not attempt to access Member data belonging to another Organization.

6.4 Security Standards

Security obligations include the following:

  • Use strong, unique passwords for all Platform accounts.
  • Do not share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature of the Platform.
  • Report any suspected security vulnerability promptly to legal@nexusforgeafrica.com.
  • Do not upload files containing viruses, malware, ransomware, or any malicious code.

6.5 Content Standards

You must not upload, publish, or distribute through the Platform any Content that:

  • Is unlawful under Kenyan law or the law of any applicable jurisdiction.
  • Defames, harasses, or threatens any individual.
  • Is obscene, pornographic, or offensive.
  • Infringes any intellectual property rights of a third party.
  • Contains false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Promotes discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

6.6 Financial Integrity

When using any payment or finance-related feature, you must:

  • Do not use the Platform's payment features to process fraudulent transactions.
  • Do not manipulate financial records, dues, or balances.
  • Ensure all financial data entered accurately reflects actual transactions.
  • Report any discrepancy or suspected fraud in payment records immediately to your Administrator and to us.

6.7 Consequences of Violation

Violation of this AUP may result in any or all of the following actions at our discretion:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of access to the Platform.
  • Removal of Content that violates this AUP.
  • Reporting of activities to relevant law enforcement authorities, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the Communications Authority of Kenya, or the ODPC.
  • Civil action for damages arising from the violation.

6.8 Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the Platform that violates this AUP, please report it to us immediately at legal@nexusforgeafrica.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
